I completed my PhD in structural geology at the Fault Analysis Group at University College Dublin, Ireland. Then I worked for TOTAL in Aberdeen, UK and after three years moved on to join DEA (which recently merged to Wintershalldea) in Hamburg, Germany, where I stayed for 7 years.
I held various positions in exploration, development and research with extensive experience in Mexico, North and West Africa, Southeast Asia and North Sea. At Wintershalldea I was lead structural geologist and company expert in fault seal analysis.
I am a research associate at the University of Edinburgh with a background in petroleum geology, multi-phase fluid flow modelling and containment analysis.
After my PhD in reservoir engineering on CO2 storage in North Sea formations at the University of Edinburgh, I joined Ikon Science as a subsurface pore pressure analyst. Subsequently, I moved back to Edinburgh and currently work on low-carbon subsurface applications such as hydrogen and CO2 storage.
